Good grief. I really should blog more often.
It has however been quite a busy time. After spending Summer Madness floating between the day job and the site, taking photographs in main stage and producing Total Recall (apologies that the levels are awful in the sound recordings, I literally didn’t have time to fix that!), I went back to a long summer at work, and met a young lady called Karen, of whom more another time other than to say that she’s local (Portadown) and keeps dachshunds.
With one thing or another (ok, Karen’s taking a lot of time!), I just haven’t been paying attention to several websites, but things are now quietening down and I’m looking towards the Christmas Carol Service at Strand – about the only thing about Christmas that I think of this side of December. With the organ coming out next year, I’ve asked my dad to play some of the carols on the organ to give it a last hurrah in a big service, so it’ll be good to work with him for that. Really must put the order of service together properly…
Other than that… Strand has a new minister, subject to confirmation by the two presbyteries, but that’s expected next month, so he should be in post in the New Year. No more guessing what the minister will be preaching on…
